Kovalik wins in Napoli

Jozef Kovalik triumphed at Capri Watch Cup, the ATP Challenger tournament in the Tennis Club Napoli, defeating the Belgian Arthur De Greef in straight sets, 6-3 6-2 on Sunday’s final in Italy. The 23-year-old Slovakian won his second ATP Challenger trophy, reaching his career high ranking, No.139.

"It was the best win of my life”, said Kovalik. “It was also a present for my birthday tomorrow my second challenger trophy. I managed to recover after the big effort in the semifinal. It 'was a fantastic week, the tournament organization was perfect. I will be back next year. " In semifinals, Kovalik beat Gastão Elias in three sets.

The doubles champions were the German duo of Gero Kretschmer and Alexander Satschko who beat Italians Stefano Napolitano and Matteo Donati, 6-1 6-3 on Saturday.
